  • The Science Behind Infrared Sauna:

Infrared saunas use radiant heat to penetrate the skin and raise your core body temperature. This deep, cellular-level heat stimulates sweat glands and promotes detoxification while easing tension and improving circulation. Our sauna is equipped with far infrared technology, which is known to reach deeper tissues than traditional heat, or a sauna you may have at home.

During your session, you’ll sweat more efficiently and at a lower temperature than in a traditional sauna, making the experience more comfortable and accessible for those with heat sensitivities. The warmth helps relax muscles, calm the nervous system, and support the body’s natural healing process.

  • Contraindications To Know:

Your safety and comfort are always our top priority. While infrared sauna therapy offers a wide range of potential benefits, there are certain conditions and circumstances where extra care — or a conversation with your physician — may be needed before stepping inside.

    Medications
Some prescription and over-the-counter medications — including diuretics, beta-blockers, barbiturates, and antihistamines — may interfere with your body’s ability to regulate heat. Please check with your physician or pharmacist before use.

    Children
Children heat up more quickly than adults and may struggle to regulate internal temperature. Always consult with a pediatrician before booking a sauna session for a child.

    Older Adults
As we age, the body’s ability to maintain core temperature can decrease. If you have circulatory conditions or reduced sweat gland function, please consult your doctor before use.

    Cardiovascular Conditions
If you have hypertension, hypotension, congestive heart failure, impaired circulation, or take medications that affect blood pressure, sauna use may place extra stress on your heart. Speak with your physician before booking a session.

    Alcohol Use
We do not recommend sauna use if you’ve been drinking. Alcohol can impair your body’s judgment and natural heat response, increasing the risk of heat-related illness.

  • Chronic Conditions That Affect Sweating
If you live with a condition like multiple sclerosis, central nervous system disorders, or diabetic neuropathy, sauna use may not be appropriate. Please talk with your healthcare provider.

    Pregnancy
Expecting mothers should always consult with their physician before using the sauna, as elevated body temperatures may affect the developing baby.

    Fever
Sauna use is not recommended while you are running a fever.

    Menstruation
Heating the low back during menstruation may temporarily increase flow. Some find this brings relief, while others prefer to wait until after their cycle.

    Joint Injuries or Infections
Avoid sauna use for at least 48 hours after a recent injury, or if swelling and heat are present. Do not use the sauna if you have any enclosed infections.

    Implants
Most metal and silicone implants are not affected by infrared heat, but always check with your surgeon or the manufacturer beforehand. If you experience any discomfort, stop use immediately.

    Prone to Bleeding
If you have a condition like hemophilia or are otherwise prone to bleeding, sauna use is not recommended.

    Heat Sensitivity
If you have a reduced sensitivity to heat or trouble regulating body temperature, please refrain from sauna use.

FAQ’s

  • Sessions can last from 15, 20, 30, or 45 minutes, depending on your comfort level and wellness goals. Our staff can help guide you to the right duration.

  • Yes! Infrared Sauna pairs beautifully with Red Light Therapy, Halotherapy, or Foot Detox.

  • Generally, we say the minimum age to use the sauna, unsupervised, is age 12. Younger children’s bodies don’t regulate temperatures as well and can overheat more easily than an adult’s. For children under 12, they should be supervised while in the sauna and limit their session to 20 minutes. Halotherapy is safe down to 12 months, and shorter sessions are recommended.

  • Infrared Sauna is safe for most people, but please consult your doctor if you have any of the conditions listed above in our “Contraindications to Know” section.
